Front Desk Receptionist – Rio Rancho Campus
Part-Time | 28 Hours per Week
Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for Legacy Church and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and hospitable experience for members, guests, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for managing front-desk operations, responding to inquiries, directing communications, assisting visitors, and providing administrative support to help ensure the Central Campus operates efficiently and professionally.
The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, service-oriented, and able to represent Legacy Church with warmth, professionalism, and discretion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals visiting the Central Campus front office.
- Welcome, greet, and appropriately direct members, guests, visitors, and vendors.
- Answer and direct incoming calls for Legacy Church in a professional and courteous manner.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and other communications in a timely manner, generally within 24 hours.
- Provide accurate and helpful information regarding Legacy Church events, ministries, services, and activities.
- Create a welcoming and hospitable environment at the front desk.
- Receive and assist with incoming deliveries, packages, and mail.
- Move and distribute packages, supplies, and materials as needed to support office operations.
Administrative and Support Responsibilities
- Maintain adequate inventory of office and kitchen supplies and communicate when items need to be reordered.
- Receive incoming packages from common carriers and distribute them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Deliver outgoing mail to the post office on Fridays.
- Assist various departments with administrative projects, including cutting, stuffing envelopes, laminating, assembling materials, and other similar tasks.
- Assist with tablecloth reservations, organization, and distribution.
- Maintain accurate and organized records related to front-office responsibilities.
- Complete additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Customer Service and Hospitality
- Represent Legacy Church in a warm, welcoming, professional, and Christ-centered manner when interacting with members, guests, staff, vendors, and visitors.
- Demonstrate a helpful and service-oriented attitude in all interactions.
- Listen attentively to questions and requests and provide assistance or direct individuals to the appropriate person or department.
- Maintain a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor when handling multiple requests or challenging situations.
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of information encountered through front-office responsibilities.
- Help create a clean, orderly, and inviting front-office environment.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-desk area.
- Remain attentive and available while performing front-desk duties.
- Follow Legacy Church policies, procedures, and guidelines as outlined in the Legacy Church Handbook.
- Work collaboratively with staff and ministry teams to support the overall mission and operations of Legacy Church.
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional responsibilities as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move packages, supplies, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods while performing front-desk and administrative responsibilities.
- Ability to move throughout the office and campus as necessary to assist with deliveries, mail, supplies, and other operational needs.
- Ability to perform repetitive office tasks such as filing, sorting, assembling, cutting, and preparing materials.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional education or training in business administration, office administration, customer service, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, customer service, hospitality, or similar role preferred.
- Experience working in a church, nonprofit, or ministry environment is a plus.
