Are You 'For'-giving?

If you are not for giving, you will tend to be un-forgiving. People who are givers are usually more forgiving than people who are not. In today’s society, which has a non-Biblical world view, we have become more selfish and self-centered. Greed is taking over our country and our politics, giving way to more selfishness and un-forgiveness. An attitude of giving and being generous are the keys to being happier and at peace with ourselves. Giving to the church, for example, will help us to let offences go. It will help us forgive that person who has hurt us.

If you are not willing to be generous, you are apt to hold grudges, harbor un-forgiveness, bitterness, and resentfulness. Holding on to un-forgiveness destroys our lives. If you want to let go of past hurts and disappointments, then you should begin to practice generosity. Start giving and watch as you experience forgiveness. You will be able to forgive others as well as yourself, and that is a huge step towards peace of heart and mind. Giving of your money, time and resources will begin to increase the peace in your life. It is your choice, so choose wisely.
