Graphic Designer - Full-Time

Position Summary

The Full-Time Graphic Designer is responsible for creating high-quality, on-brand visual assets that support the mission, messaging, and initiatives of the organization. This role collaborates closely with the Graphics Director, ministry leaders, and communications teams to execute creative projects across digital, print, apparel, and environmental design.

This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to meeting deadlines while maintaining excellence and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Execution

  • Design graphics for digital platforms including social media, email, website, and presentations
  • Create print materials such as flyers, banners, signage, invitations, and programs
  • Design apparel and merchandise graphics as needed
  • Assist with branding assets for events, ministries, and campaigns
  • Maintain consistency with brand guidelines across all deliverables

Project Management & Workflow

  • Complete assigned projects through the established project management system (e.g., Asana)
  • Adhere to deadlines and communicate proactively if timelines are at risk
  • Implement revisions and feedback accurately and efficiently
  • Organize and archive design files following naming and storage standards

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Graphics Director to understand project goals and priorities
  • Partner with ministry leaders and staff to clarify design needs and expectations
  • Support cross-department creative initiatives as requested

Quality Control

  • Proof all designs for accuracy, spelling, alignment, sizing, and formatting before submission
  • Ensure deliverables meet print and digital specifications
  • Follow established quality assurance and completion standards

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of professional graphic design experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for churches, schools, or nonprofit organizations
  • Familiarity with social media content design and formatting
  • Experience with apparel design and print production
  • Basic understanding of brand strategy and marketing principles
  • Experience working within a structured creative workflow or project management system
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
