Child Care Director - (East Campus)
Job Description
General Description:
The Child Care Director is responsible for, but not limited to, the overall safety and well-being of children ages 0–12 years during designated child care times:
East Campus:
• Monday – Requested event
• Tuesday – Pre-service
• Wednesday – (church at other campuses)
• Thursday – Classes and/or events
• Friday – Requested event
• Saturday – Pre-service / Requested event, including Moving Forward class
• Sunday – Pre-service / Requested event, including Next Step
• E-space special event requests (monthly calendar communicated)
Duties Include:
- Partner with Legacy Tot’s Pastor/Director for approved childcare needs, including training, supplies, scheduling, etc.
- Provide twice-a-month supply needs (on the 1st and the 15th) to the Legacy Tots Pastor/Director for childcare needs, including classroom and snack supplies.
- Recruit child-care staff and babysitter contract workers to provide child care for pre-service, events, and specialized classes.
- Train child-care staff and babysitter contract workers to provide child care for pre-service, events, and specialized classes.
- Schedule child-care staff and babysitter contract workers to provide child care for pre-service, events, and specialized classes.
- Ensure that sufficient staff and babysitters are scheduled to adequately care for the number of children in attendance.
- Make sure all child-care policies are enforced.
- Ensure proper Babysitter Payment Forms are completed by contract workers and placed in the binder, ready for pick-up or delivery to the Tot’s Pastor at the end of each child-care pay period for approval.
- Collect Time Adjustment Sheets (for staff who failed to clock in/out) and submit them to the Tot’s Director at the end of each child-care payroll session for approval.
- Keep a plan for child care that includes ideas to improve the program.
- Follow all check-in policies and develop expert-level skills in checking children in and out.
- Report any unresolved issues — including incidents involving injury — to the Children’s Ministry Director.
