You Are an Overcomer.

Nobody gives you that title for showing up to an easy day. Overcomer means something tried to take you out, and it didn’t work. It means you got hit, and you’re still standing. Some of us want the crown without the fight. Doesn’t work that way. If there’s no battle, there’s no overcoming. There’s just existing.

Romans 8:37 NLT

No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

That’s the whole reason a lot of people keep losing. They quit competing. They show up but they don’t fight. And if you don’t compete, you don’t win. Period. Some of you have gotten so used to retreating that you call it peace. It’s not peace. It’s surrender. God didn’t save you to sit on the bench. He saved you to get into the ring, throw punches, and trust Him for the outcome.

And here’s the part people miss. Sometimes the win is ugly. You didn’t overcome pretty. You overcame bruised, tired, crying in your car in the parking lot. People look at that and say that was an ugly win. Fine. Still a win. Nobody asked what it looked like. They asked who’s still standing. The sign of a righteous man or woman isn’t that they never fall. It’s that they always get back up. With me or without me, get back up. Because when you get back up, you’re not just proving something about yourself: you’re proving there’s a God, and He’s still working.
