Seemingly negative circumstances aren’t always “bad”. Viewing them through natural eyes, they may seem large and hard to overcome, but when we view them through the eyes of God, it may be a set up for victory and an opportunity to succeed. The Bible says, “All thing work together for good to those that love God and are called according to his purpose.”

When the Israelites sent out spies into the Promised Land, it was for the sole purpose of determining a strategy on how they were going to take the land. Ten of the spies were so negative, they swayed the rest of the Israelites not to go. God had orchestrated the situation so that they could conquer the people living there. There was so much animosity between the current inhabitants that if Israel attacked one tribe, the others wouldn’t join in to defend them. Israel could have overcome them one tribe at a time. The Israelites saw this task as “too big” instead of doing it one step at a time.

If we’re going to succeed in this life, we need to take steps; one step then another. Instead of seeing things from a negative perspective, we need to see things from a “God perspective”. His intention is always for us to overcome. What’s going on in your life? Start taking steps to deal with the issues and watch it turn around!
