Front Desk Receptionist – Central Campus
Part-time 28 hours per week
Primary Responsibilities:
• Answer and direct all incoming calls for Legacy Church.
• Greet and direct individuals visiting the front office.
• Return phone calls, emails, and other communications within 24 hours.
• Move heavy packages and materials as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Maintain an adequate inventory of office and kitchen supplies.
• Receive incoming packages from common carriers and disperse incoming mail.
• Take mail to the post office on Fridays.
• Assist various departments with administrative projects, such as cutting, stuffing envelopes, laminating, and assembling materials.
• Assist with tablecloth reservations and distribution.
General Duties:
• Represent Legacy Church in a professional manner when answering the phone or greeting visitors.
• Maintain a clean environment at the front desk to create a comfortable atmosphere.
• Answer questions related to events taking place at Legacy Church.
• Sit for extended periods while performing desk duties.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
• Follow the policies and procedures as defined in the Legacy Church Handbook.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds as needed to support office operations.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods while performing desk duties and managing front office responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred.
Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with office equipment (phones, printers, fax machines).
• Basic knowledge of data entry and record-keeping.
Personal Attributes:
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
• Flexibility to work varying hours as needed.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and tasks.
