Is tutoring really free?
Yes. Tutoring is free for elementary students and for GED participants. Fees for GED practice testing and official testing will be announced once we become an official GED Testing Center.
Who can join the elementary program?
Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade who want extra help in reading, math, or both.
How old do I need to be for the GED program?
The minimum age is 16 with parent permission. Anyone 18 or older can enroll on their own.
What happens at the intake assessment?
Elementary students take a quick reading and math diagnostic, and we set goals with a parent or guardian. GED learners meet with us to talk through goals, identify skill gaps, choose a target test date, and pick the pace that fits best.
How long are elementary tutoring sessions?
Sessions run 30 to 45 minutes, one or two times per week for each subject.
What should I bring?
Nothing is required. Just bring yourself.
Can I take the GED test here?
Not yet. We are working toward certification as an official GED Testing Center, and we will share the news as soon as testing is available on site.
