Refuge Special Needs Ministry

Wednesdays & Sundays · Central Campus

A safe, loving place for children and adults with special needs, with trained volunteers, buddies, and a Bible lesson made for the way your family member learns.

He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge.
Psalm 91:4
What Refuge Is

Everyone has a place here

Refuge is the special needs ministry of Legacy Church. We believe it is all a part of God's plan to care for, love, and welcome individuals with special needs into our church family and our community.

We consider it a privilege to offer Bible study classes, buddies for children, a well trained team of volunteers, and caring people who want to make each visit a meaningful part of the week for your family member.

Why It Matters

Good for the whole family

i.

Room for parents to breathe

While your family member is cared for, you can sit in service, worship without distraction, and take a real moment to rest.

ii.

Freedom to serve

Parents and caregivers get the chance to volunteer across the church and find their own place in the church family.

iii.

"They love my brother here"

Siblings get to see their brother or sister loved and included. Over time it simply becomes normal that everyone is welcome.

About the form The Member Information Form is filled out in person and helps our coordinator plan ahead and equip volunteers.
