Legacy Church – Staff On-Site Childcare Provider

Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

Position Summary:

Legacy Church is committed to providing a nurturing and healthy environment while meeting the childcare needs of staff families, ensuring each child has the best opportunity to grow and succeed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the Childcare Director, co-teachers, and parents/guardians.
  • Implement weekly lesson plans and age-appropriate curriculum, adjusting daily as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with Legacy Church health, safety, and childcare policies and procedures.
  • Provide a structured, engaging, and safe classroom environment using appropriate classroom management techniques.
  • Support and provide direction to co-teachers and float staff within the classroom.
  • Assist children individually and in groups with activities, including feeding, toileting/diapering, and hygiene needs.
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are consistently followed.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Attend and actively participate in all required staff meetings and trainings.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through self-assessment, training, and feedback from the Director.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Legacy Church Handbook.
  • Support overall ministry efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Model and uphold Legacy Church’s Core Values in all interactions.

Physical Requirements:

Working in an early childhood environment requires consistent physical activity to ensure the safety and care of children:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely navigate classroom environments, including confined or busy spaces.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend frequently.
  • Ability to maintain visual awareness of children at all times, including peripheral vision.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience caring for infants and toddlers required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
