Be Not Deceived
Deception is defined as the act of causing someone to believe something that is not true, in order to gain some advantage; an imposing of a false idea or belief that causes ignorance, bewilderment, or helplessness; a misleading; a leading astray.
Corrupt systems:
Today people are being led astray by a corrupt system. The reason it’s so corrupt is that the people who are running it are ungodly. They have no morals. The media is no longer unbiased in reporting the news. They are writing their own narrative and then reporting on it. Most politicians are power hungry and don’t care about the people they represent.
Deceived churches:
Even churches who have stayed closed are being led astray, even though God has said we are to gather together. They have even bought into the rhetoric of these politicians. The Bible teaches we are not to be deceived. Col 2:8 (ESV) — See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human traditions, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
The Truth:
The only way we won’t be deceived is to learn and to become doers of the word of God. It is our only hope. Make church a priority. Make sure they are actually teaching the word of God. Purpose to do, put into practice, what you learn.
Learn to repent quickly and forgive quickly, for this will help you not to be deceived.
