Position Summary
The Moving Forward Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Moving Forward process, volunteer engagement, data management, and administrative support functions that help individuals connect, grow, and serve within Legacy Church. This role provides leadership to Moving Forward volunteers, maintains accurate records, supports ministry leaders, and ensures effective communication and follow-up.
Primary Responsibilities
Moving Forward Ministry
- Coordinate and oversee all Moving Forward classes and related activities.
- Recruit, schedule, and support Moving Forward volunteer teams.
- Coordinate and order all materials and supplies needed for Moving Forward classes.
- Communicate class schedules, events, and important dates to participants and leaders.
- Enter and maintain Moving Forward participant and graduation data within Fellowship One.
Volunteer & Administrative Oversight
- Oversee and support the Volunteer Team.
- Manage Fellowship One records and reporting.
- Process data entry and maintain accurate records through Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and text messages within 24 business hours.
Financial & Operational Support
- Monitor monthly spending and departmental budgets.
- Review and approve campus purchase requests in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels and supplies for ministry operations.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Regularly connect with ministry leaders to ensure volunteer scheduling, onboarding, and training are occurring effectively.
- Follow up with ministry leaders and volunteers during services to provide support and accountability.
- Assist in filling volunteer or ministry positions when operational needs arise.
- Support church-wide events and initiatives as assigned.
General Duties
- Communicate effectively with staff, leaders, volunteers, and guests through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Keep staff informed regarding Moving Forward schedules, participation, and ministry updates.
- Ensure ministry areas remain clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Legacy Church Employee Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
